Highett Level Crossing Removal

Seeking community views on Kingston’s Key Design Moves for the proposed level crossing removals in Highett

As you may be aware, in 2022 the Victorian Government announced its plans to make the Frankston rail line level-crossing free. Specifically, the Government announced it would remove the Highett Road and Wickham Road level-crossings by 2029, achieved through the construction of a new elevated rail bridge and a new Highett station.

No further announcements or designs for the level crossing removal project have been released, however with precinct planning also occurring on the state government’s Suburban Rail Loop, Kingston has developed some early design ideas for the future level crossing removal that we would like to see included in the precinct planning work.
